What types of services do you offer?
I provide individual, couple, and family therapy via telehealth.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes! If you’re interested in working with Dr. Poma, leave a voicemail or send an email indicating days or times in the next week that would work for you. Dr. Poma often see clients on Sunday mornings or late evenings throughout the week, at 9 PM EST. However, Dr. Poma can work in other times with sufficient notice.
What are the rates of your clinical services?
Initial Assessments, which last an hour and include review of paperwork and scoring assessments prior to meeting with a client are $225 per assessment. For couples’ therapy, this means three assessment sessions (1 for the couple, and one for each partner). After the initial assessment, my rate is $175 for each 45-50 minute session of therapy (couple or individual).
Can I use my insurance?
I do not accept insurance. Insurance often doesn’t cover couples’ therapy. However, I often provide clients with what are called “superbills” that they can submit to their insurer for reimbursement from an out of network provider, so it depends on your insurance company whether they will accept that.
What are your rates for supervision services?
Because of the many different situations that supervisees can be in, this varies by type of license/training client is experiencing, whether client is still a student or seeking more consultative supervision, so you would have to contact me for this information.
Where do you practice?
I only provide telepsychology services at this time, although I’m licensed in the state of Ohio. I provide telehealth individual couples’ therapy, or family therapy. All paperwork and sessions will be completed virtually or online in states included in PsyPact. If you travel outside of a PsyPact state, I wouldn’t be able to meet with you. However, if you are in a PsyPact state, we should be able to meet together.
What is PsyPact?
PsyPact is a group of states that have come together to agree to allow psychologists from other states to practice virtually in their state, provided that they are certified to do so. PsyPact requires regular training in telepsychology and will not allow therapists to see clients when the therapists are outside of their home state. However, they do allow clients to travel from one PsyPact state to another in order to continue receiving therapy. This is a benefit for many clients because it allows me to see a couple that is geographically separated in a combined session. It also allows me to continue treatment with students while home and at college, or for business travelers. However, PsyPact members are not allowed to see clients outside of PsyPact states.
